CSC Junior Grand Prix – Chess Tournament Series for Kids

The CSC Junior Grand Prix is a series of fun and competitive chess tournaments for children aged 6–18, run by the national charity Chess in Schools and Communities (CSC).
These events follow the same format and are held regularly in North London. Children can join one or several tournaments – each event is a great standalone experience, but results from multiple tournaments also count toward the overall Grand Prix leaderboard.
About the Organiser: Chess in Schools and Communities (CSC)
CSC is a UK-wide charity that brings chess to over 300 schools and local communities. Trained tutors teach children not only how to play but how to think strategically and creatively through chess. CSC provides a range of support to schools, such as free chess sets, teacher training, access to online platforms, and use of the CSC curriculum.
Beyond schools, CSC runs chess sessions in libraries, hospitals, prisons, older people’s centres, and refugee programmes. CSC also run major chess events that get loads of people playing and enjoying the game. Their mission is to make chess accessible and to highlight its educational and social benefits.
